| We are absolutely sure you will be longing for some fun, diversity and entertainment in those upcoming grey November days. And here comes our invitation to an event that will meet or rather exceed all your expectations: The District 59 Fall Conference, taking place in one of the most beautiful cities of the world - in H A M B U R G ! The conference venue is the five star Empire Riverside Hotel, right at the famous "Landungsbrücken", with fantastic views over the Port. You just need to take two steps and you are on the "Reeperbahn", at the banks of the Elbe or on the "Fischmarkt". Hamburg provides so many more attractions, such as the "Alster", the impressive "Michel", the beautiful city hall, the historical "Speicherstadt", the new "Hafencity" and vibrant musicals like the "Lion King". Stay a few days before or after the conference and enjoy a long weekend in Hamburg - combined with two days filled with captivating contests and excellent educationals in English, German and French and - of course - with your Toastmaster Family! |
Willkommen zur Distriktkonferenz! In den bevorstehenden trüben Novembertagen gibt es einen echten Lichtblick: Spaß, Abwechslung und Unterhaltung verspricht die kommende Herbstkonferenz des District 59 in Hamburg. Veranstaltungsort der Konferenz ist das 5-Sterne-Hotel Empire Riverside über dem ufer der Elbe. Es liegt im berühmt-berüchtigten Stadteil St. Pauli, nur wenige Fußminuten von der Reeperbahn und den Landungsbrücken entfernt. Auch die Innenstadt mit der Shopping-Meile Mönckebergstraße ist nicht weit entfernt. Und wo Ihr doch schon mal in Hamburg seid - warum nicht gleich noch ein oder zwei Tage dranhängen? Vielleicht eines der Musicals der Stadt besuchen, einmal wie ein Blinder die Welt erleben im "Dialog im Dunkeln" oder die weltgrößte Modelleisenbahn im "Miniatur Wunderland" bestaunen? Oder lieber ein Kuturhighlight wie ein John Neumeier Ballett in der Staatsoper, ein Besuch in der Hamburger Kunsthalle oder alternative Kunst in der Kampnagelfabrik?
